GREAT NORTHERN WAY CAMPUS
Great Northern Way Campus is the developer of an 18.3 acre site on the southern edge of Vancouver’s False Creek Flats. GNWC’s vision involves the long-term transformation of the site into a vibrant and sustainable community that attracts businesses and academic programs in a collaborative, innovative environment. GNWC is owned by the University of British Columbia, Simon Fraser University, Emily Carr University of Art + Design and the British Columbia Institute of Technology. The site was donated by Finning International Inc. to the four institutions in 2001. The GNWC site is home to the Centre for Digital Media, which offers a Masters of Digital Media degree. One of the first initiatives by GNWC is the new Centre for Digtal Media building for the ever-growing Masters of Digital Media program. As part of CatStatic Interactive’s ongoing collaboration with GNWC, we created an interactive visualization allowing users to explore the exciting features of this high tech facility, which is scheduled to be completed in the Fall of 2012.
